Pressure Seal Mailing Equipment
Documents containing sensitive information can be confidentially and efficiently handled with pressure seal paper and equipment. Items such as cheques, payroll details, contract details etc. will all benefit from the automated mailing solution. As will general mass mailings.
Pressure Sealing uses laser compatible forms which have incorporated a variety of fold patterns (to maximise space on the form) and special glue patterns. The forms are folded by the Pressure Sealer and then pass through precision sealing rollers which activate the glue – all in one non-stop process.
Pressure Seal forms use strips of a special cohesive that is dry to the touch and can be used in laser printers. Under high pressure in the sealing machine the adhesive strips meet face to face and combine to form a tight, tamper-proof seal. This changes the forms into extremely secure, tamper-proof mailers which are suitable for mailing or distribution without the additional expense of envelopes – or the manpower required to hand fill envelopes.
The equipment is available in a range of sizes and speeds to suit all company scenarios, and can be shared by a number of departments if required. Some of our Pressure Seal machines can work "in-line" with a laser printer where the printed document from the printer is fed directly into the folder sealer.

Formax FD 2054
The AutoSeal® FD 2054 is a fully automatic pressure sealer which provides the ultimate tabletop solution for processing pressure sensitive one-piece mailers. Designed with ease of operation and efficiency in mind, the FD 2054 automatically detects and adjusts for 11”, 14” and 17” forms. It features 5 pre-programmed standard folds for even panel C, V, Z and uneven/eccentric C and Z folds. It also has the ability to store up to 35 custom fold settings with the simple touch of a button.
The FD 2054 utilizes a drop-in three-roller feed system which produces dependable feeding of forms with no paper fanning required. Forms are processed at speeds up to 16,450 per hour, and are output to an integrated telescoping conveyor with automated nip roller positions, capable of holding up to 500 processed forms. The large 2.8” (71mm) backlit LCD display and user friendly control panel allow for untrained operators to walk up and start processing pressure seal forms with little to no instruction.
The FD 2054 advanced software allows for all standard fold types and paper sizes to be customized to meet your particular needs.
Options include a fully enclosed cabinet for storage, 402 Series Joggers, and the V-Stack36 Stacker, which vertically stacks up to 22" of processed forms, making them easier to unload for further processing.
